Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Property, Banking & Financials and Holding Firms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI), which rose 4.35% or 1.350 points to trade at 32.350 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 2.64% or 0.700 points to end at 27.200 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 2.40% or 1.75 points to 74.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which lost 8.58% or 1.280 points to trade at 13.640 in late trade. Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) declined 3.36% or 4.5000 points to end at 129.5000 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) shed 2.74% or 4.900 points to 174.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 89 and 47 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.75 to $1190.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.38 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.84% or 0.41 to trade at $48.59 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.37% to 7.1962, while USD/PHP fell 0.43% to 49.765.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 101.42.
