Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Mining & Oil sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.33% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 0.74% or 1.80 points to trade at 245.40 at the close. BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 0.68% or 1.00 points to end at 147.00 and Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) was up 0.64% or 0.100 points to 15.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which lost 4.15% or 0.950 points to trade at 21.950 in late trade. DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) declined 3.59% or 0.540 points to end at 14.500 and Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) shed 3.36% or 0.190 points to 5.460.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 134 to 59 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.28% or 3.54 to $1276.74 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.63% or 0.36 to hit $57.76 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.85% or 0.53 to trade at $63.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.21% to 7.6133, while USD/PHP rose 0.09% to 50.305.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 92.77.
