Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Sports and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.65% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 4.24% or 0.84 points to end at 20.66 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) was up 2.67% or 0.050 points to 1.920 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tesco Kipa (IS:KIPA), which lost 3.68% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.830 in late trade. Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) declined 3.40% or 0.090 points to end at 2.560 and Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) shed 3.27% or 0.380 points to 11.250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 215 to 126 and 63 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.60% or 20.10 to $1274.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.87 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.64% or 0.36 to trade at $55.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.62% to 3.7060, while EUR/TRY fell 0.48% to 3.9338.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 100.62.
