NEW YORK, Aug 15 (Reuters) -
* The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX .GSPTSE fell 182.17 points, or 1.12 percent, to 16,148.50, posting its biggest daily percentage decline since June.
* Leading the index were Canopy Growth Corp WEED.TO , up 31.3 percent, Aphria Inc APH.TO , up 20.5 percent, and Aurora Cannabis Inc ACB.TO , higher by 19.5 percent.
* Lagging shares were Hudbay Minerals Inc HBM.TO , down 8.4 percent, IAMGOLD Corp IMG.TO , down 8.2 percent, and MAG Silver Corp MAG.TO , lower by 8.1 percent.
* On the TSX 67 issues advanced and 176 declined as a 0.4-to-1 ratio favored decliners. There were 5 new highs and 25 new lows, with total volume of 284.0 million shares.
* The most heavily traded shares by volume were Aurora Cannabis Inc ACB.TO , Canopy Growth Corp WEED.TO and Aphria Inc APH.TO .
* The TSX's energy group .SPTTEN fell 7.46 points, or 3.72 percent, while the financials sector .SPTTFS slipped 0.95 points, or -0.31 percent.
* West Texas Intermediate crude futures CLc1 fell 3.22 percent, or $2.16, to $64.88 a barrel. Brent crude LCOc1 fell 2.39 percent, or $1.73, to $70.73 O/R
* The TSX is off 0.4 percent for the year.
