Investing.com – Indonesia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Industry and Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite declined 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO), which rose 34.59% or 46 points to trade at 179 at the close. Victoria Insurance Tbk PT (JK:VINS) added 32.28% or 61 points to end at 250 and Bank Harda Internasional Tbk PT (JK:BBHI) was up 30.46% or 46 points to 197 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sona Topas Tourism Industry (JK:SONA), which lost 24.85% or 410 points to trade at 1240 in late trade. Hero Supermarket Tbk (JK:HERO) declined 20.63% or 330 points to end at 1270 and Tirta Mahakam Resources Tbk (JK:TIRT) shed 12.24% or 18 points to 129.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 187 to 142 and 109 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.89% or 0.44 to $49.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.95% or 0.50 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.42 to trade at $1265.62 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.36% to 13328.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.02% to 9922.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 98.88.
