Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Communication sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 9.08% or 674 points to trade at 8100 at the close. Airport City Ltd (TA:ARPT) added 3.48% or 151 points to end at 4486 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was up 2.75% or 59 points to 2205 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT), which lost 0.87% or 27 points to trade at 3085 in late trade. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) declined 0.65% or 23 points to end at 3517 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) shed 0.60% or 320.0 points to 53060.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 225 to 142 and 21 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.38% or 0.25 to $65.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.97% or 0.73 to hit $74.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.82% or 22.10 to trade at $1234.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.48% to 3.7003, while EUR/ILS rose 0.39% to 4.2220.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.78% at 96.15.
