Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 2.72% or 0.640 points to trade at 24.200 at the close. Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) added 2.24% or 0.460 points to end at 21.020 and Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico (MX:SANMEXB) was up 1.99% or 0.600 points to 30.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which lost 2.77% or 2.520 points to trade at 88.420 in late trade. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.46% or 11.18 points to end at 443.08 and Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) shed 1.70% or 0.520 points to 29.980.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 127 to 125 and 13 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.11% or 1.30 to $1202.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $48.43 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $51.42 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.03% to 19.6093, while EUR/MXN fell 0.04% to 20.8885.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 101.26.
