Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financial Services and Telecoms Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which rose 2.92% or 0.620 points to trade at 21.880 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 2.68% or 1.630 points to end at 62.540 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 2.46% or 0.75 points to 31.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which lost 3.31% or 4.510 points to trade at 131.580 in late trade. Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) declined 3.20% or 2.770 points to end at 83.800 and Mexichem , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:MEXCHEM) shed 3.17% or 1.620 points to 49.420.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 185 to 114 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.37% or 16.35 to $1212.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $52.79 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.17 to trade at $55.49 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.05% to 20.8259, while EUR/MXN fell 0.06% to 22.4811.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.89% at 99.53.
